You checkin me out?!
This week I decided to be more, let's say aware, of what people think of me and how they look at me. In general I guess I just decided to be more observant. Which I believe is a good and bad thing, because when I dressed kind of....well not very attractively.....I definitely got less looks and smiles. But when I work heels and some nice clothes, like I did today, guys would look at me more, give me more smiles; and more girls would approach me like I knew something they didn't. That was a HUGE ego booster for me. Being able to dress up and feel like I looked good and others thought I looked good was just an amazing feeling!
What a busy week! I had cheerleading tryouts this week too, and man was that kind of stressful! I have been on the cheer team before here so I wasn't really worried about making the team or not, but it was really hard to teach everyone new things. I'm not a coach but since I have been on the team and the coach really likes me, I guess ;), she asked me to help the new people and show them a bunch of new things. This really made me feel important and helped my self esteem a lot. I know that I WAS good at cheerleading before, but since I've been out at school I feel like there are so many more good cheerleaders than I. It really made me realize that I'm not a horrible cheerleader and that I actually do well at it and others notice that I am good at it and good at teaching it! I know that sounds conceded but it really made me feel accomplished and it really made me feel like I can do something that no one else can. That I really am unique and not just part of the crowd!
